A fourth alleged victim of a nun on trial for indecently assaulting third class pupils has told Sligo Circuit Court that she was terrified every time she was called up to the nun's desk.
The woman, who is now in her forties, described how Sr Mary Theresa Grogan, formerly known as Sr Peter, indecently assaulted her as she read her homework at the nun's desk.
Sr Grogan denies 63 charges of indecently assaulting seven young girls in a midlands national school in the 1970s.
The alleged victim said Sr Peter would tell the other children in the class to 'teigh a chodladh' when she was called up to the desk.
She said she would be pinned up against the desk but she didn't know how many times this had happened.
The complainant said that she would pretend to be sick so that she would not have to go to school during third class.
She said she remembers wishing she had cancer and doing things like eating soap to make herself sick to get out of going to school.
The woman told the court that she had nightmares, and still has nightmares and flashbacks as an adult.
