Will Ireland follow where the UK leads? The secret of Bryn Estyn

Added on March 29, 2005

?Innocent lives have been destroyed, the public deceived, and millions of pounds wasted in a witch-hunt against innocent people- most of whom worked as (child) cares, and teachers or dedicated their lives to public service?.

What am I talking about? ? the (slightly tired) subject of alleged Irish abuse and the Redress Board?

Nope! This is the introduction to a book released in England and Wales on 19th March ? on the story of Institutional care in England/Wales.

The Secret of Bryn Estyn concludes that what happened in North Wales and other parts of the UK represents ?one of the greatest series of miscarriages of justice in modern British history which as a result has led to thousands of people being falsely accused of child abuse, and up to one hundred being falsely imprisoned?.

This book represents the UK in the early 90?s ? It?s happening in Ireland right now, under our noses. The Ryan Commission has already established hopelessly exaggerated claims of abuse/neglect. Will Ireland follow where the UK leads ? even tho? we can see what happened there?
