A MAN was banned from owning a computer and a camera for life yesterday after he admitted more offences of possessing child porn.

Dubliner Anthony Luckwill (31) was banned by a Welsh court after the judge said he showed the "classic" signs of child grooming. Luckwill, a former media studies student, had infiltrated a support group for autistic children and pretended to make a film about the young sufferers.

Then he set up a website for the branch asking questions about the colour of their underpants. Luckwill, formerly of Monastery Walk, Clondalkin, refused to close it down or hand over the password.

Police raided his home in Carmerthen, west Wales, and found indecent child images downloaded from the website.

While experts were examining his computer, he bought another one and did the same again.

At the time he was serving a community rehabilitation order for an identical offence.

Francis Jones, prosecuting, told Swansea crown court that members of the public became so concerned about him they set up a website called luckwill.com to warn what he was up to.

Luckwill was jailed for 25 months for possessing 107 indecent images.

He denied accessing the sites but finally told police: "It's pointless. I have seen the whole bloody lot."

Luckwill's barrister Frank Phillips said the offending had already cost him his place at University College Lampeter. Luckwill was also made the subject of an extended sentence, which means he can be recalled to prison should he re-offend during the next five years.

Judge Keith Thomas also agreed to a prosecution application and made orders banning Luckwill from owning, or part owning, a computer or a camera.

He must also attend a sex offenders' work programme and register with the police as a sex offender for the next 10 years.
