REPORTS that ministers held a ?secret meeting? over the Haut de la Garenne inquiry to discuss removing deputy police chief Lenny Harper from the investigation are ?utter nonsense? according to the Chief Minister.

And Senator Frank Walker (pictured) has criticised the national media for their coverage of the Haut de la Garenne investigation, which he says has made a bad situation worse.

The reports were carried in the Sunday newspapers, and suggested that ministers met in secret to discuss removing Mr Harper from his position at the head of the inquiry.

?That is absolute rubbish,? said Senator Walker.
