Church hasn't learned a thing
Added on February 12, 2008
Last week, the Catholic Church criticised the Government for the lowering of value added tax from 21pc to 13.5pc on packets of condoms.
In the same breath, Cardinal Desmond Connell had applied to the High Court to restrict diocesan files from being examined by the Commission of Investigation into Clerical Sexual Abuse.
It would seem the Catholic hierarchy have not learned much over the years.
They are still promoting Humanae Vitae, 1968, rather than focusing on the pain and trauma they have inflicted on the child abuse victims through their indifference and their inaction.
