Church 'crisis' all just an evil plot

There must have been huge relief throughout the Catholic world on reading David Quinn's sensational revelation that there is no crisis facing the Catholic Church in Ireland (Irish Independent, August 10). According to Mr Quinn, "The number of people who still take part regularly in religious activities rivals, if not surpasses, those who follow Gaelic football or hurling."
Apparently, the belief that the church was in crisis because of falling attendances is actually an evil plot hatched by the media, academia and the law.
I have to admit, that until Mr Quinn's astonishing news, I was completely taken in by these evil manipulators. The Inquisition is too good for them.
