PAEDOPHILIA PANIC IN THE PLANNING PROCESS
Added on May 13, 2007
The following report in the Evening Herald can be seen as the reductio ad absurdum of our child abuse panic; alternatively it could be an illustration of "the banality of evil".
Incidentally Paddy Crosbie grw up in the Stoneybatter area of Dublin in the 1920s and "The School Around The Corner" - St. Pauls CBS - is not far away. Can you imagine what he would make of Liberal Progressive Ireland?
"Sex Pest Fears Over Flats Plan Near Schools" by Cormac Murphy
Evening Herald, 25 April 2007
Fears that paedophiles could peer into a primary school from an apartment block have prompted objections to a planning application.
The proposal is to build 11 apartments in a three-storey block by a laneway off Aughrim Street in Stoneybatter, Dublin 7.
But Deputy Joe Costello said there is concern that, if the proposal goes ahead, St. Gabriels National School in Cowper Street would be directly overlooked.
"We have already had a paedophile in Phibsboro hanging out in the vicinity of St Peters School", the Labour TD pointed out.
And he added: "The apartment block in Stoneybatter will be right beside St. Gabriels. It will be directly overlooking the school yard."
It was revealed last week that paedophile priest Oliver O'Grady was living next to St. Peter's primary school.
Concerned residents branded the defrocked priest a "ticking time bomb".
They posted a notice in their local newsletter to alert others about his move into the area. ........
